Everest Group Ltd., the Bermuda-based property, casualty and specialty re/insurer, announced the promotion of Jill Beggs to executive vice president and chief executive officer of Reinsurance, effectively immediately.
Beggs previously served as Everest Reinsurance EVP and chief operating officer, and when rejoining Everest in 2021, as head of Reinsurance, North America. With over 30 years of risk management experience, Beggs is recognized for her deep industry knowledge and track record of delivering innovative risk strategies for clients through all market cycles, the company said. Before Everest, she held senior leadership roles at Munich Re, where she earned a strong reputation for exceptional portfolio management.

MS Amlin, the Lloyd’s global re/insurer, announced the appointment of Christiern Dart as chief executive officer.
Dart, previously group chief underwriting officer at Brit, will take up the role in January 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Dart succeeds Andrew Carrier who, after three years as CEO, has chosen to retire from his current position. Carrier will remain with the wider Mitsui Sumitomo (MSI) group as an executive officer, where he will provide counsel and insight to the MSI executive team as it continues to expand both its operations and its ambitions in international markets. He will remain with MS Amlin until the end of the year to support a smooth transition and regulatory handover.
Dart spent 17 years at Brit, including five years as group CUO, overseeing an underwriting capacity of over GBP £2 billion across a multiline portfolio. He also previously held roles at Liberty Syndicates and CNA Re, where he began his underwriting career in 1994.

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., the Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer, has appointed John Welch as group chief underwriting officer.
Welch brings over 30 years of experience in executive roles across global players including at AXA XL and XL Catlin Group, and originally joined Aspen as chief underwriting officer, Reinsurance, in June 2023.
In his new role, which is effective from Aug. 1, 2025, Welch will report to group president and CEO, Aspen Bermuda, Christian Dunleavy, and will be responsible for the oversight, development and execution of Aspen’s underwriting strategy across the group.
