“Go, go, go!” It’s May 2018 and, from my sofa, I’m wildly cheering on a magnificent brown horse named Justify as he wins the Kentucky Derby. I picked Justify for the win in a no-stakes bet with my husband Dan, knowing nothing more about horse-betting than Justify was fast, big and beautiful. Feeling proud and gloat-worthy, I popped open my laptop to search Google for reasons why my uneducated pick proved to be so wise. What I found—which continues to delight me to no end—were stories about Sunny, Justify’s stable pony.
